Once again the Victorian Society of Colorado Springs is planning a Grand Victorian Ball.  In past years the VSCS Grand Ball has been acclaimed for being the social event of the year. Attendees have reveled along with the Red Queen from Alice in Wonderland and Queen Obscura from the Magic of the Nile.

2010 is the fifth year for this event and we are planning it to be bigger and better than ever.  The patriotic theme is entitled "Salute to Lady Liberty."  Expect to see lots of red, white and blue as we honor our nation's grand history.  Our 16th president, the Honorable Abraham Lincoln, will speak.

Also expect something new and different along with all the traditional reels, waltzes, and quadrilles.  At the Alice in Wonderland ball you learned the Lobster Quadrille.  At Magic of the Nile, it was the Pharaoh's Quadrille.  This year you will learn the Columbia Quadrille.  Also on the dance card is a reel called the Irish Trott for which the steps are listed on the Dance Steps page.

Also new this year we are featuring music by Cynthia Robinson and Trio Allegretto.

Watch this space for additional information as it becomes available.
